Zortam ID3 Tag Editor not only allows you to modify the information contained in your MP3 files, but also provides you with all the tools you need to keep your MP3 collection neatly organized. It supports both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags, and comes with a set of easy-to-use utilities to help you find duplicates, add images and lyrics to your tracks, and create and edit M3U playlists.
The amount of information that the program’s main interface provides may be a bit intimidating at first glance. Though it cannot be considered a difficult-to-use interface, its attempt to gather all relevant information in one single window does not help new users to find their ways around it easily. The interface is divided into various panels, surrounded by buttons and icons that you may find confusing at first, but that will make things much easier for you once you get to know how the program works. The top half of the interface is devoted to locating and showing all the MP3 files you want to work with, while the bottom half has been reserved for the ID3 tags themselves, both ID3v1 and ID3v2.
The amount of information provided for each MP3 file in the largest panel can be customized to show only those fields you are really interested in. Here you can select one or more tracks for editing, or to create a new playlist (in M3U format), or to listen to them using your default media player. Files can also be renamed, replaced, or deleted from here, and you can perform searches looking for specific tracks or tell the program to produce HTML reports of your entire collection or parts of it. more
